They say “Big things come in small packages” and with this program it was true. When I first started working as an intern for Ricardo at Fashion House Academy, I thought that this was going to be a small program where kids just come and listen to designers talk about their designs, but I was wrong. Fashion House is a program that consist of 3 different aspects (Styling, Designing, and Sewing Classes). As an intern, seeing the work that the students do is amazing. The students at Fashion House Academy are so creative. Seeing all their designs, drawings, and actual pieces that they created shows that they really have a passion to become designers. When these kids leave the classroom, you can see the excitement and joy of just being at Fashion House Academy. Let’s See What They Come Up With Next!!!!! Blog you later…….

When I hear or think of the word “determination”,  I think of the act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose. The kids here at Fashion House Academy have definitely shown determination through their enthusiasm and their designs. As far as creativity they show that they have their own mind. I believe that you should be original, but put your own twist to it. Creativity is being able to transcend traditional things and to have an imagination. When I first became an intern I was very nervous, because I thought I was going to do a whole lot of things at once, but as I kept coming each week I learned something new. I am so grateful for this internship, because I feel like a new person. Thank you Ricardo for this opportunity.
